I had recently moved to the area. It was Christmas. I am a widow. My honey and I frequently had prime rib for a Christmas meal. The Derby's prime rib was cooked to perfection, melt in my mouth, and seasoned just right. I have never had better. Each accompaniment that I chose was equally superb. I was so impressed I purchased a gift certificate for my daughter for a Christmas gift. She and her partner expressed their meal was just as excellent when they went, especially the French onion soup. I must add that the waiter was so attentive. I asked that the second set up be left at the table as if my loved one would be coming. If you have lost a spouse, you know. He did. The ambience is so inviting. You must experience this memorable restaurant and dining event.

Penne a la vodka, at the derby is the most creamy and flavorful version I've ever had, I crave it often, I'm actually having it soon, it's so comforting and delicious especially when pared with wine and a salad.

The Derby Delight review by Sophia
The Derby Delight at The Derby in Arcadia is hands down my favorite steak dish and one of the main reasons this is my go to spot for special occasions and date nights. The steak is always perfectly cooked, rich and flavorful, and absolutely elevated by their silky béarnaise sauce and crispy onions. We always pair it with a bottle of Au Bon Climat Pinot Noir, which complements the meal beautifully, and the staff always makes us feel genuinely welcomed and taken care of. Every visit feels like a celebration, and this dish never disappoints.

Filet was cook perfectly. Dispite which cook is preferred, I order mine butterflied, well done. Portion was just enough.

One of the best meals I've ever had. Two of us had plenty to eat and she took the balance home for the following days lunch. Beef was so tender it literally fell apart. We had asparagus and potatoes as side dishes.
